PROGRAMS & SERVICES

Learn about the Programs and Services HHFC provides to mothers and families.

COMMUNITY BIRTHING SERVICES

Provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support to the mother before, during and after birth. Studies have shown that when doulas attend births, labors are shorter with fewer complications, babies are healthier and they breastfeed more easily.

POSTPARTUM SERVICES

Mother and baby receive up to 12 hours of postpartum services to ensure they are both in good health and any needed services or referrals are given.

BROWNSVILLE BREAST MILK DEPOT

Mothers may donate extra breast milk at Hope and Healing Family Center. Mothers must first pass a list of donor requirements to ensure the health of the mother and the safety of the milk being provided.

POPULATION SERVED

HHFC is presently serving children, families, teenagers, and women in the childbearing age. HHFC staff attend community meetings, clinics, local organizations, WIC offices, etc. to inform the community of the services rendered. Clients can also be referred to HHFC from the Department of Health.
